Traeger Grills are one of the most popular grills in the Portland area for a reason. If you’re looking for a grill that is simple even for beginners to use and creates flavors that any level of chef would be proud of, a Traeger Grill is right for you. Traeger’s unique wood pellet technology creates an evenly cooked meal every time. Rather than charring your steak, burger, or vegetables, Traeger surrounds your food in heat like a convection oven to give a thoroughly cooked, smoky taste. You grill or barbecue on your Traeger. But you can also bake, slow cook, braise or smoke everything from meats and vegetables to breads and desserts.
How do Traegers Work?
Traegers use a wood pellet heating system that combines with a convection oven-like fanning system to give your food a smoky taste and cook your food evenly. The wood pellets are fed into a heating chamber, which leaks the air into the cooking chamber and allows it to surround the food for a nice, even cook. Rather than a rotisserie, in which the food is constantly rotating over a steady burn, your food stays still while hot air rotates around your food, meaning it’s cooked evenly and you don’t have to be constantly spinning it. Since the heat is not coming from the surface of the grill, you can cook pizzas or pies without charring the bottom, and you since don’t have to worry about your food burning, you can leave your food unattended like you would with an oven.
How Does it Taste?
It’s difficult to give a Traeger Grill it due justice by describing the flavor – that’s something you’re going to have to discover for yourself. The best way to describe it is by picturing yourself at a backyard barbecue. If you’ve ever been the grillmaster at a party, you know how nice it is when everyone is raving about your food. The Traeger Grill makes it so easy to be that local celebrity for your friends and neighbors. There’s nothing like a steak, slathered in BBQ sauce, that’s as tender as it is flavorful.
Easy to Use Grills
One of the best parts about owning a Traeger Grill is how little work is involved in making a delicious meal. All you do is turn on the grill and throw your food on the grill in about 4-5 minutes. To make cleanup a little bit easier, you can line the drip pan in aluminum foil and take that straight to a grease bucket a few minutes after cooking. Traeger recommends clearing the excess ash out of your grill by sweeping it out with a small brush. Burns Feed Store also offers Traeger grill covers, smoke shelves, and rib racks to protect your grill and get the full functionality out of it.
